How to steam-fry dumplings 겉바속촉 만두굽기
SERVES 1-2 / PREPARE 5 MINS / MAKE 15 MINS
Can’t decide whether having your dumplings steamed or pan-fried? You can cook half steamed and half fried dumplings as they will have soft juicy top side and crispy crunchy bottom side.
Ingredients
4-8 dumplings
1-2 tbsp of vegetable oil
100ml of water
1 tbsp of soy sauce
1 tbsp of vinegar
1 tsp of chilli flake
1 tsp of sesame oil or sesame seed
Method
Add 1 tbsp of vegetable oil on non-stick frying pan
Place dumplings in the pan (leave some space between dumplings)
Heat the pan over medium heat and cook the dumplings for 3 mins
Pour 100ml of water to the pan and close the pan with lid immediately
Let the dumplings be steamed for 12 mins (until all water is evaporated)
Make a dipping sauce by mixing soy sauce, vinegar, chilli flake and sesame seed
Serve them with the dipping sauce
